Our multi-media productions range from "Cabaret/Bent" and "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" to "Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafke; from devised work penned by students, to traditional pantomime, to performance of Global Links, celebrating the 200 years' anniversary of the end of Slavery, featuring Gambian musician Jali Suso.
In 2008, we hosted the first Primary Schools' Shakespeare Festival, bringing together five Junior schools and showing a wide variety of Shakespeare performances.

At the core of our success , drama teaching is about is challenge, high expectations, academic focus and physical performance. This leads to enhanced learning expectations for all our students in every key stage..
As our curriculum map shows, progression from KS3 to KS4 and the sixth form depends on building skills and developing academic learning.
We work within the Creative Arts department and other departments in the school to share excellent practice. AST Outreach work shares our success with other schools' Drama and English departments, supporting raising of standards of learning throughout Devon.
