Deborah became a Governor at the College in January 2013. Previously, she was a Governor at a local Voluntary Aided primary school.
In her professional career as a qualified social worker, Deborah has over twenty years’ experience in the field, spending 10 years dealing with child safeguarding and 10 in adult safeguarding roles. Her vast experience has been invaluable in her Governing role as holder of the Safeguarding Portfolio. As part of the role, she meets with numerous staff and students throughout the year and reports her findings and updates to the Full Governing Body.
“Safeguarding is a key theme throughout the College. Staff and students are proud of their achievements, including receiving the Princess Diana Award in the summer of 2016 for Anti-Bullying work.”
