College Ethos
We believe that students’ special educational needs can be best met in mainstream classes alongside their peers. All young people have individual needs and an individual approach enhances learning in every classroom.
We emphasise challenge in learning activities and our teachers have high expectations of every student, whilst at the same time giving them the confidence and skills to achieve. We advocate a personalised approach to learning, and adapt our teaching to the different ways students learn.
We recognise that providing effective personalised learning is challenging, not least when a student’s needs appear to present significant barriers to their learning. Our team aims to provide a high quality support service to our staff and students to assist in removing these barriers, enabling all students to become independent, responsible and successful learners whatever their abilities, skills and talents.
Core Function
