3 Peaks Challenge

On 6 – 7 July eleven students from Newton Abbot College will be taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge.  Along with 4 members of College staff, the students will be climbing the 3 highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike 978m), Wales (Snowdon 1085m) and Scotland (Ben Nevis 1344m).  The challenge is to complete all peaks, including driving to each one, within 24 hours! The students, all from Year 11, were carefully selected for this challenge through an application and interview process back in the autumn term.  Since then they have been training in the local area and on Dartmoor to prepare themselves for this epic challenge. The 3 Peaks team consists of Adam Brenton, Ethan Vickridge, Gabriel Quinlan, Callum Duggan, Harry Tansey, Toby Cook, Thomas Davis, Kayleigh Davis, Loren Smith, Rachel Spooner and Vicky Groves.
