Christmas Charity Fundraising

After last year’s successful charity DVD, staff at Newton Abbot College have been busy filming once again.  This year they filmed a short story incorporating a mix of Strictly Come Dancing and Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade. Ivor Abiks, Creative Arts Technician, spent several weeks filming staff at various locations across the College using green screens and editing the final cut. Sönke Beyer, Deputy Principal, held dancing lessons after College for several weeks with staff donning their glad rags and learning how to Waltz and Foxtrot.  Following on from this, many of the staff said it was great to learn something new and they’re planning to learn more dances in the New Year. Even Paul Cornish, the Principal, got involved in the filming going from a bah humbug Principal to one full of Christmas spirit, much to the delight of the students!
