Newton Abbot College held their Clubs Fair in the New Hall on Friday 26 September. Becoming a well-rounded adult means having a broad and diverse range of learning experiences and at the College we encourage students to do the extras that enrich what they learn in the classroom. There are over 50 different extra-curricular clubs and activities to choose from to enable students to get fully involved in college life or to enhance their learning. There are strong links with the local business community which provide excellent opportunities for work-related learning and mentoring for sixth form students.” The College has excellent facilities for those interested in the creative arts, from theatre and drama, dance and music through to art and photography. The sporting facilities include a state-of-the-art sports hall and swimming pool which offer our students the chance to experience, and excel in, a wide range of sporting activities. Many of our students go on to represent the College in local and national sporting events as a result. Our new Year 7 students were especially keen to find out more about this year’s clubs and activities, and many of them had already signed up for the electric car club (Team Lucy) over the summer holidays!
