College Praised by Regional Schools Commissioner

Newton Abbot College Ofsted Good Rebecca Clark Paul Cornish Regional Schools CommissionerOn Friday 10 February, Newton Abbot College welcomed invited guest and Regional Schools Commissioner for the South West, Rebecca Clark, to share in the College’s great work and continued improvement, in their aim to ‘Imagine what’s possible…’  Ms Clark was met by staff and students, enjoyed a tour of the College and its facilities and discussed the vision and strategy for the future of the College with Principal, Paul Cornish.  This was not the first visit to the College by a Regional Schools Commissioner; in June 2015, Sir David Carter visited staff and students and heaped praise on both staff and students, describing them as ‘fantastic ambassadors for both their school and the town of Newton Abbot.”  Ms Clark was equally impressed, subsequently tweeting ‘So impressed with my visit to Newton Abbot College today. Inspiring learning taking place in a great environment. Well done to Paul Cornish and team!”  Paul Cornish said of the visit: “It was an absolute pleasure to meet with Ms Clark again and show her around the College. We are extremely proud of everything we do at Newton Abbot College.”
