Cross country for sport relief

The Schools Sports Partnership hosted a Primary Schools Cross Country event for pupils in Years 3 – 6 as part of the Sport Relief Mile at the weekend. As part of our role in the partnership Newton Abbot College ran the cross country event with nine of our students marshalling the event and assisting the primary pupils. It was great to see over two hundred pupils taking part and competing in a fun, enjoyable and challenging environment. They all had big smiles on their faces.  Our own students also showed excellent leadership skills.  They were very supportive and full of praise towards the pupils and some of them even ended up running along with those who were finding it tough.”
