Former professional footballer, Alex Watson, who made more than 400 appearances in the Football League playing for Liverpool, Derby County, AFC Bournemouth, Gillingham, Torquay United and Exeter City, visited Football Academy students at Newton Abbot College on 15 November to deliver an FA Level Coaching Award session as part of the Arsenal Soccer School programme. The Football Academy, linked with Arsenal Soccer School, is the only one of its kind in the South West region (taught exclusively at Newton Abbot College) and is designed to give each student the best possible start to a career in sport and football.Newton Abbot College Alex Watson Aresenal Soccer School Ofsted Good Manager of Arsenal Soccer School, Mark Titchard, is thrilled with the mentor programme at the College: ‘It’s a great pleasure to support Newton Abbot College and its thriving PE department by providing a professional football development programme for an increasing number of students.
