Year 8 student, Honey Jacobs, has raised over £150 having completed the ‘Sleep Walk’ fundraising event, organised by Rowcroft Hospice.
The 10 mile sponsored walk, from Paignton to Torquay and back on 7 July, saw Honey, her mother and sister walk from 7.30-11.30pm in memory of a loved one.
Despite sporting an injured foot, Honey successfully completed the walk: “I have been wanting to do the Sleep Walk for a long time. It was quite a tough thing to complete, as I had a bad foot, but I really enjoyed it at the same time. I think it’s really important to fundraise and think of other people and help them to get what they need.”
