Nac netball team become top 8 in the country

On Monday 13th December NAC travelled to St Swithuns School in Winchester to play in the 4th round of the inspiresport SISTERS n SPORT National Netball Cup for schools. The match started with a tense goal for goal atmosphere ending the first quarter 9-9.

NAC felt some nerves creep in to the second quarter allowing St Swithuns to pull ahead 17-15 going into half time. A quick team talk, and some tactical changes gave NAC a strong start to the third quarter where they quickly changed the dynamics of the game taking a 26-25 lead in to the final quarter.

The final quarter saw both teams pushing each other to their limits but NAC came out on top with an incredible 93% shot rate and tireless defence NAC claimed a 41-34 victory. They are now in the top 8 in the country and will play Surbiton High in Surrey in the quarter-finals.

The team have a very exciting new year ahead with the regional rounds of National Schools and the quarter finals of SISTERS n SPORT National Cup both taking place in January.

The PE department and whole college are incredibly proud of their success, and we wish them enormous luck for their up-coming competitions.
