Simply the Best

Newton Abbot College holds an annual College Awards ceremony to celebrate the students’ successes from the previous academic year.  Students from each year group are nominated in a variety of categories including ‘Best in Subject’ and ‘Leader in Learning’. This year 21 students were awarded ‘Gold Star Prefects’ whilst 9 students were given the ‘Pride of Newton Abbot College Award’ for a variety of different reasons: Anna Gibbs and Jack Taylor for showing outstanding leadership in PE activities; Cody Landricombe and Jack Pearson for their fantastic attitude towards all sporting events; Keagan Nell for making an impressive start and his great attitude and participation in PE; Jordan Miller, Lois Harris, Melis Blackford and Megan Selley for their contributions in the College’s production of Bugsy Malone during the summer term. Special awards were given to Lewis Breslan (Future Scholars award formerly known as DUX), Lucy Pritchard (Community Award) and Abigail Joint (Helen Foundation ‘Best Endeavour in Arts’).
