Newton Abbot College Sixth Form students travelled to the Imperial Hotel in Torquay on Friday 30 June to attend a ball to celebrate the end of their A Level exams.
The ball, organised by Year 13 Student Leadership Team members Harry Watkin and Faith Grierson, saw students take the opportunity to come together one final time before all heading their separate ways to university, apprenticeships and the workplace following the end of their exams.

The event, held in the hotel’s Torbay Suite, saw students gather together to celebrate, receive awards, hear speeches and dance the night away. The ball followed an emotional graduation ceremony held earlier in the day, which included Student Leadership Team heads, Melis Blackford and Josh Clark, addressing their fellow students in rousing and passionate speeches.

Head of Sixth Form, Sam Grierson, could not have been more pleased with the event: “The Sixth Form Ball was a really fitting way for our incredible students to finish their time at Newton Abbot College. The event was brilliantly organised by our students and it was lovely to see them happy, relaxed and having such an incredible night. We cannot wait to see what these amazing young people will achieve in the future.”
