Student of the month april 2017 imogen bray year 10

Congratulations to Year 10 prefect and House Captain, Imogen Bray, who has been chosen as Student of the Month for April 2017.

Imogen is a real credit to herself and the College; the nominations and comments below speak for themselves. From all of us at Newton Abbot College: a massive well done to you, Imogen; a very worthy winner!

“Imogen is an absolute diamond in Biology. Imogen is one of the hardest working students I have ever taught. She quietly gets on with every task given to her and she does it with such determination and detail. Imogen always enters my room with the biggest smile and is so polite.”

“Imogen is quite simply an outstanding student. She sets an excellent example for other students and is a very worthy History Ambassador. She demonstrates her enthusiasm for learning in every lesson by consistently seeking opportunities to improve her written work and deepen her subject knowledge. Imogen is able to rise to every challenge and therefore she is a real delight to work with.”

“It is an absolute pleasure being Imogen’s tutor. She has always been a very responsible and reliable member of my tutor group from Year 7 through to Year 10 and has always been a perfect role model for others to look up to. Imogen has always shown empathy for others in the tutor group and has been a fantastic support to other students regardless of who they were.

Imogen always takes pride in her achievements academically and has also made a positive contribution to the College community, taking part and committing to a range of extracurricular groups such as the College productions of ‘Bugsy’ and ‘Oliver’, the electric car club and sports clubs, including netball and rounders. Imogen’s reports have always been 100% praiseworthy across all subjects and all criteria.

Since Imogen first arrived in Year 7, I have always believed that she would make a great House Captain and am very pleased that she has been awarded the privilege of this role as she definitely deserves it. Congratulations Imogen on all of your achievements at Newton Abbot College so far!
